# Fasted > Fasted is an intermittent fasting timer and tracker for iOS and Android that shows what is happening inside your body while you fast, in real time. It is built for people who want a timer that explains itself rather than a coaching programme: pick a protocol, start the clock, and watch the metabolic phases arrive. ## What Fasted does - A fasting timer with six built-in daily protocols — 12:12, 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and 23:1 (OMAD) — plus extended fasts of 24, 36, 48 and 72 hours. Custom protocols are on the paid tier. - Live metabolic phase tracking: fed state, catabolic, fat burning, ketosis, deep ketosis — updated as you fast. - Streak counting, achievements, history, and smart local notifications for when your window opens and closes. - Available in 26 languages. Works 100% offline. ## What Fasted does not do - It does not run the weekly protocols. There is no 5:2 and no alternate-day fasting in it. - It does not log food. No food database, no calorie count, no macros, no photos. The only nutrition it records is one entry a day for protein and fibre in grams. - There is no Apple Watch app and no complication. There is a home screen widget on iOS and Android. - Weight tracking and body measurements are Pro features, not free ones. ## Privacy (important, factual) - No account is required. Download, pick a protocol, start. - Your fasting data is stored on the device. The timer runs locally and needs no internet connection. - Purchases are handled by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. - What this website and the app record, and every third party involved, is set out in full at https://getfasted.app/privacy. That page is the only description of it. ## Pricing - Free tier: the fasting timer, all six built-in protocols, metabolic phase tracking, streak counting, achievements and smart notifications. - Fasted Pro: US$6.99 a month, US$29.99 a year, or US$49.99 once for lifetime access. Pro adds the fasting buddy, the hunger map, the history heatmap, detailed analytics, custom protocols, notes and data export. - There is no free trial. - Every tool on this website is free, needs no account, and is not gated behind the app. ## Key pages - Home: https://getfasted.app/ - Free fasting tools — every calculator, timer and planner on the site, no account: https://getfasted.app/tools - Articles (getting started, methods, nutrition, science, weight loss, who it is for, lifestyle, comparisons): https://getfasted.app/articles - Editorial policy — who writes this, how health claims are sourced, and what this site never claims: https://getfasted.app/editorial-policy - Privacy Policy: https://getfasted.app/privacy - Terms of Service: https://getfasted.app/terms - Contact: https://getfasted.app/contact ## Tools Every tool is free and needs no account. Pick the schedule, the hour of your first meal and the days; the times, the one-page sheet and an RFC 5545 .ics follow. The calendar file publishes four weeks of eating-window blocks from today and rolls forward every time a subscribed calendar re-reads it; a quiet variant titles each block with the hours alone and names nothing about fasting anywhere in the file. Eight bands from 12 hours to five days and beyond, each with its own sequence, timings, portion guidance and avoid list, and each step labelled with how well it is known: most read "common practice, not trial-tested", because no trial has compared a liquid first meal with a solid one, a small one with a large one, or protein-first with carbohydrate-first, at any fast length. Fasts of five days or more get no meal plan at all — that band carries the NICE CG32 refeeding criteria and a plain instruction to break the fast with medical supervision. The autophagy column reads "no human data" for almost everything, because no human study has established a calorie or protein threshold. Citation status, stated plainly: until August 2026 no article on this site carried a source list, and 147 carried a "medically reviewed" line with no reviewer behind it. That line has been removed everywhere. The highest-risk pages — fasting with diabetes, cancer, thyroid disease, high blood pressure, while breastfeeding or trying to conceive, and fasting on metformin, Ozempic, Wegovy, semaglutide or the GLP-1 class — were re-verified against primary sources on 2026-08-05, and unsupportable claims were cut. A page with no Sources section at the bottom has not been through that pass yet. See the editorial policy for the running count.
